Abstract

Plant pathogenesis proteins are a general term for a class of proteins that are induced and accumulated in plants after being subjected to biotic or abiotic stress. They are an important component of the plant defense system. In recent years, PR proteins have been mainly divided into 17 functional families based on their structure, parentage, and biological activity. PR10 protein has a structure similar to nuclease and is generally an acidic protein with a molecular weight of 15 to 19 kDa. Relevant studies in recent years have shown that some PR10 proteins have nuclease activity and in vitro antibacterial functions, play an important role in plant defense responses, and have broad application prospects. To this end, this paper reviews the latest research progress on the PR10 protein’s gene structure, expression pattern, nuclease activity, disease resistance mechanism, and application in transgenics, combined with the work of this laboratory, and its application in plant resistance breeding. for reference.
