Abstract

In order to establish a stem type index system for the breeding and cultivation of high-quality and high-yield wheat, 71 and 94 wheat varieties (lines) with different protein content types were used as test materials in 2002-2003 and 2003-2004 respectively, and the plant height was measured. , length of each internode, grain protein content and yield, the differences in stem traits such as plant height and length of each internode of wheat with different protein content types were studied, and their relationship with yield. The results showed that the plant height of wheat varieties with high protein content The length of tall, second internode and third internode are significantly longer than those of low protein content types; the suitable plant height, internode length under panicle, second internode length and third internode length of high protein and high yield type wheat are respectively 85 ~ 107cm, above 27cm, around 23cm and around 14cm. Slightly larger values within the appropriate range are more ideal; varieties with low protein content and high yield are below 85cm, below 30cm, around 18.5cm and around 12cm respectively. It is ideal for each value to be slightly smaller within the appropriate range.
