Abstract

Calcium-dependent phospholipid-binding proteins are a new type of calcium-binding proteins discovered in the late 1970s. They are different from calmodulin and other calcium-binding proteins with an “ef” hand structure. Their characteristic is that they can further bind to the membrane after binding to ca2+. Phospholipid binding. This type of protein is widely found in animal cells and is often associated with the plasma membrane or endomembrane system. Immunochemical evidence and analysis of its amino acid sequence and cdna sequence show that this is a new family of calcium-binding proteins that includes multiple members and is structurally and functionally related.
