Abstract

This study studied the distribution characteristics of selenium in the cells of Spirulina maxima and its impact on the biochemical composition after adding 20¡Á10-6Na2SeO3 to its culture medium under laboratory culture and large-scale pilot culture conditions. The results show that the mass ratio of selenium in cells can reach 126.7 ¦Ìg/g (laboratory culture), or even as high as 606.5 ¦Ìg/g (pilot culture), which is mainly distributed in proteins in cells, accounting for 69.4% of the total selenium. (laboratory culture), even up to 94% (pilot culture), an increase of 33.4% compared with the control group; selenium only accounts for a small part of sugars and lipids, 1.4% of sugars, and 2.7% to 3.5% of lipids. The presence of 20¡Á10-6Na2SeO3 did not affect the growth of Spirulina maxima, but the biomass increased by 6.0%; the sugars increased by 49.6%, the lipids increased by 25.0%, but the protein decreased by 11.1%.
