Abstract

The levels of obesity protein [OP-(57-92)] in mouse brain, fat, liver, muscle tissue and plasma were quantitatively measured using radioimmunoassay technology. The results showed that the OP content in mouse brain tissue was the highest at 13.14¡À0.8pg/mg; the OP content in adipose tissue was 2.99¡À0.54pg/mg; no OP was detected in liver and muscle tissue. The OP content in adipose tissue of female mice was significantly lower than that of males (1.97¡À0.28vs4.02¡À0.92pg/mg). The OP content in the plasma of mice was 2257.8¡À171.9pg/ml.
