Abstract

Active polypeptides were extracted from fresh red deer antler using alcohol precipitation method. This polypeptide is a series of polypeptide mixtures with molecular weights lower than 17kd, and western blotting detected that it contains insulin-like growth factor-1 (igf-1). The total polypeptides quantified by Bradford method were about 1~2mg/g fresh weight, and the igf-1 quantified by ria method was 300~400pg/g fresh weight. After continuous intraperitoneal injection of polypeptides into mice for 6 days, their growth promotion, immune regulation, antioxidant, anti-fatigue and other biological activities were studied. The results showed that the body weight of mice showed an increasing trend compared with the control group (p>0.05); the rosette ring formation rates of mice in the intraperitoneal injection of 1, 4, and 8 mg/kg velvet antler peptide groups were respectively 33.3% and 34.2% higher than those in the control group (normal saline). %, 39.6%, the difference is significant (p<0.05). The OD value of serum hemolysin in mice injected with 8 mg/kg velvet antler peptide was significantly different from that in the control group (p<0.01). The difference was significant or extremely significant (p<0.05 or p<0.01), indicating that velvet antler polypeptide has an immunomodulatory effect and is dose-dependent. dependency. In the elderly mice injected with 4 and 8 mg/kg velvet antler peptides, the serum superoxide dismutase (sOD) activity increased by 51.1% and 59.2% respectively, and the serum malondialdehyde (mda) content decreased by 14.9% and 16.7% respectively. Compared with the control group The difference was significant (p<0.05), indicating that velvet antler peptide has a strong antioxidant effect on aged mice.
