This experiment collected rice protein samples from many regions in my country, analyzed the conventional components of rice protein, measured the digestible energy (DE) and metabolic energy (ME) of growing pigs, and established the relationship between the conventional components of rice protein and DE and ME of growing pigs. The experiment selected 12 healthy castrated boars with a body weight of (33.0¡À1.3) kg and used two 6¡Á6 Latin square experimental designs, including 1 kind of basic diet and 11 kinds of rice protein. Experimental diet that replaces 15% of the basal diet. The total manure collection method and the set algorithm were used to determine the DE and ME of rice protein pigs. The conventional components of rice protein were correlated and regression analyzed with pig DE and ME, and a rice protein pig DE and ME prediction model was established. The results showed that the pig DE was (18.13¡À1.12)MJ/kg and the ME was (16.44¡À1.59)MJ/kg based on air-drying of 11 kinds of rice proteins. It can be concluded that the best prediction model for rice protein pig DE (on a dry basis) is DE=22.17-0.51NDF (R2=0.50, RSD=0.93), DE=18.58-0.49CF+0.31EE (R2=0.70, RSD =0.77); the best prediction model of ME (absolute dry basis) is ME=21.42-0.74NDF (R2=0.52, RSD=1.30). NDF is the best predictor of DE and ME in rice protein pigs.
