Abstract

The surface functionalization and fluorescence spectral characteristics of semiconductor CdS nanocrystals were studied, and the electrostatic/coordination self-assembly method was used to realize the bioinorganic coupling of polypeptides and CdS nanocrystals. The fluorescence spectrum of the nanocrystal polypeptide coupling system and the polypeptide were studied. Interaction with CdS nanocrystals. The results show that thiol-containing peptides form a perfect coating on the surface of CdS nanocrystals, eliminate surface defects of CdS nanocrystals, and enhance the fluorescence of CdS nanocrystals; amino-terminated peptides make the fluorescence of CdS nanocrystals appear first. There is an upward and then downward trend; the remaining peptides without thiol and amino groups all quench the fluorescence of CdS nanocrystals. The quenching mechanism is static quenching caused by the formation of compounds. Their binding constant is about 2¡Á104 and the number of binding sites is about 0.87. ~1.00.
